This project re-furbishes a donated 116-ft-long bridge and places it across Piney Creek as part of a project to build trail between Triphammer Rd and Brownsville-Library Rd. This will eliminate a hilly and winding detour.

Volunteers will install treated lumber decking on the bridge.

The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund supports purchase of lumber and fasteners to be used by volunteers to deck the Piney Fork Creek Bridge.

No worthy project with willing volunteers should founder for lack of tools or materials.

The Trail Volunteer Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation celebrates the efforts of the volunteers who are developing multi-use bicycle and walking trails by providing tools and materials they need for projects that develop and maintain the network of multiuse trails in western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
