This project creates a mural in the Westmoreland Heritage Trail tunnel between the Conemaugh and Loyalhanna Rivers. A local Girl Scout Troop will paint a mural all along the walls of a 90-foot tunnel on the trail. (About 2000 square feet) They are led by an art instructor and have a sketch of the scene they will paint. The tunnel has been the site of lots of offensive graffiti in the past and the mural will be a wonderful improvement. The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund provides paint and other supplies to be used by the scouts to paint the mural Grant awarded September 2011 |
